Shipping Policies
Processing times
Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).
During busy periods (e.g. seasonal peaks, sales, deadline season), dispatch may take up to 5 business days.
UK shipping
Postage options are given at checkout, and we offer Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 Royal Mail postage. Please note that UK Shipping starts at £3.95, no matter the order size, as otherwise, postage and packaging costs aren’t adequately covered. It’s fiscally impossible to send one card for less than that amount, and means you as the customer get better value for money when buying more than one card.
Overseas shipping
European shipping starts at £5.95.
Please note that deliveries outside the UK may be subject to local import duties and taxes. These charges are beyond my control and must be covered by the customer. We accept no responsibility for any charges beyond what’s charged at the checkout.
All prices include UK VAT (20%) where applicable. Overseas orders are sent VAT-free.
Unfortunately, we’re not posting internationally (outside of the EU) at present.
Packaging and sustainability
Your order is packaged with care to protect the items in transit. Wherever possible, we use eco-friendly materials (recycled or compostable packaging) — both to reflect our commitment and to keep your purchase safe and beautiful on arrival!
Delays and issues
While we aim to meet the estimated delivery times above, delays that are out of our control may sometimes occur (e.g. due to postal service disruptions, customs, extreme weather).
If your order hasn’t arrived within 10 business days (UK) or 30 calendar days (international), please contact us at shop@claire-powell.com and we’ll help investigate.
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address that was provided at the checkout, you will be asked to cover the re-shipping cost.
Returns and refunds policy
We want you to love your order — but if something isn’t what you expect, here’s how returns work:
Returns accepted within 14 calendar days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition: unopened, unused, undamaged, and with all original packaging (including tags or sleeves, where applicable).
Custom or personalised items (e.g. bespoke prints, monograms) are non-refundable unless faulty or damaged. Returns or exchanges cannot be accepted for commissioned artwork or for items customised with bespoke or personalised text.
To initiate a return, contact us at shop@claire-powell.com within the 14-day period to request a return. Please include your order number and reason for return. You (the customer) are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is faulty or we made an error. Please use a tracked shipping service and keep proof of postage.
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email whether your refund is approved. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Shipping costs (both original and return postage) are not refundable, unless we sent a wrong or defective item.
Exchanges
If you’d rather exchange an item for a different variant, get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate (stock permitting). You’d return the original item (as per the return process) and place a new order for the replacement, or we can coordinate manually if preferred.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) and provide photos of the damage. We’ll arrange for a replacement, repair, or full refund at our cost.
This policy is subject to applicable consumer rights under UK law and the Consumer Rights Act, which supersede where relevant.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund or return if items do not meet the criteria above.
We may update or revise these policies — any changes will apply to future purchases; your rights for past orders remain protected.
